Blessed Hope – ASL Hymn

I wrote this hymn a week ago that went well with my sermon last Sunday about Grace being our Motivator because of our blessed hope – 2nd coming of Jesus Christ in all of His glory!

The hymn was meant to be sung in ASL rather than in English.

Blessed Hope

ASL Hymn

My soul is eagerly waiting for Jesus to come back again!

Imagine Jesus riding on white horse with shining white garment with many crowns on His head.

Jesus’ name is Faithful and True and Righteous and the Word of God.

We will be there with Jesus in the lead clothed in white and clean garments watching Jesus conquers the world!

My soul is eagerly waiting for Jesus to come back again!

“As the Deer”

I decided that I will try to translate some of my favorite hymns from English into American Sign Language. Sometimes the concepts in English aren’t always transferred into ASL. Same idea as some concepts in ASL that cannot be transferred into English. Prayed that the ASL hymns will be a blessing to you.

Verse 1

As the deer panteth for the water,

So my soul longeth after Thee.

You Alone are my heart’s desire,

And I long to worship Thee.

Chorus

You alone are my strength, my shield;

To You alone may my spirit yield.

You alone are my heart’s desire,

And I long to worship Thee.

Verse 2

I want You more than gold or silver,

Only You can satisfy.

You alone are the real joy giver

And the apple of my eye.

Chorus

Psalm 1 in ASL

I am doing Psalm 1 in ASL. This vlog is for the purpose of getting you to see Psalm 1 in ASL before you see other vlogs in the series about Psalm 1. I pray that God will use this vlog and next few vlogs in Psalm 1 series to challenge you to be more Christlike than world-like.
